How many times have you felt EXHAUSTED? Think about it for a minute!
Feelings of exhaustion are present, and if we don't know the signs and how our body and mind start giving us signals of exhaustion, we can be in a lot of trouble.
Bible Verse:
Matthew 11:28-30
28 "Come to me, all of you who are tired from carrying heavy loads, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke and put it on you, and learn from me, because I am gentle and humble in spirit; and you will find rest. 30 For the yoke I will give you is easy, and the load I will put on you is light."
Each one of us needs to take some time to rest. God rested on day seven after working six days. Jesus was sleeping and resting during the storm! So, What makes you think you have more strength than God or can face the storm if you are tired? You and I need to learn to take time apart from everything and rest, take a nap, and take some ME time. Your brain is not recharged if you are running low. For your cell phone or any electronic device, if it's running low on battery, it doesn't matter what plans you have with it. You need to stop and charge it. We also need to recharge!
Today, analyze what you can stop for a moment, and take a break! Learn how to rest, meditate on the Lord and in his word. The Holy Spirit will not be able to communicate with you, if you are busy. You need to take a break and find rest in Jesus, who values you and cares for you.
As I am writing this, The Lord is talking to me LOUD and CLEAR! :) We all need to take that time and rest, stop carrying a heavy load, worrying about bills, trying to get everything done by yourself, it doesn't matter if you worried all day, you are still not going to change the fact of the circumstances. Let's humble ourselves today and REST in Jesus. Let's take a Sabbath, where we can find peace and tranquility.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, as I lay here today thinking so much, worrying about all the circumstances happening in my life right now that I don't know how to handle, please help me relax the tension in my body, calm the restlessness in my mind, and still the thoughts that worry and perplex me. Help me to rest myself and all my problems in your strong and loving arms. Help me understand the importance of resting and not letting exhaustion take a toll on me.
-Amen
